Class Accuses GE Of Marketing Unsafe Microwaves

Law360, New York (November 10, 2009, 3:43 PM EST) -- Plaintiffs in a proposed class action have accused General Electric Co. of selling microwave ovens that it knows are at risk of starting on their own volition, causing a fire hazard.

In a second amended complaint filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, plaintiffs Timothy Hennigan, Aaron McHenry and Christopher Cocks accuse GE of negligence, unjust enrichment and failure to warn.
