SEC Chief Litigation Counsel Headed To DLA Piper

Law360, New York (November 10, 2009, 4:39 PM EST) -- Luis R. Mejia, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Enforcement Division's chief litigation counsel, has decided to make a move to DLA Piper's Washington office.

Mejia will join DLA Piper as a partner in December, the commission said in an announcement Monday.

An SEC spokesman declined to say who might be in the running to replace Mejia, or elaborate on his reasons for leaving.
