Travelers Settles Class Action Over Pricing Policies

Law360, New York (November 11, 2009, 7:21 PM EST) -- Travelers Property Casualty Insurance Co. and eight other insurers have settled a putative class action with homeowners who decried what they described as unfair pricing policies, in a deal that could also grant the plaintiffs attorneys' fees and expenses of up to $6.6 million.

According to the agreement filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, the defendants also agreed to refrain for three years from selling certain high-priced homeowners policies in a dozen states.
