New York Court Bounces Suit Against Deutsche Bank

Law360 (November 10, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- Claiming no jurisdiction, a New York district court has again tossed out a suit brought by German media mogul Leo Kirch accusing Deutsche Bank of causing the downfall of his media empire.

On Wednesday, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York dismissed Kirch’s appeal, encouraging him to pursue the breach of trust allegations in Germany rather than Manhattan.

“New York has no unique interest in the matter," the judge ruled, according to court documents.
