Allied Holdings Scores Extension For Ch. 11 Plan

Law360, New York (November 10, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- Despite complaints from unsecured creditors, a bankruptcy court has granted an extension of more than two months for Allied Holdings Inc. to file its Chapter 11 reorganization plan as it smoothes out a new labor contract with its employees.

Judge C. Ray Mullins in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Georgia on Wednesday gave the go-ahead for the Georgia-based auto hauler to retain control over its bankruptcy proceedings through Jan. 17.
