La. Residents Seek Class Cert. Over Fertilizer Leak

Law360, New York (November 13, 2009, 3:42 PM EST) -- Louisiana residents who claim PCS Nitrogen Fertilizer LP didn't do enough to stave off a 2008 sulfuric acid leak at a PCS facility have asked a federal judge for class certification.

The plaintiffs, a putative class of Louisiana residents living in or near the Ascension and Iberville parishes, filed their motion for class certification on Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Louisiana.
