Analog Devices Hit With Microphone Patent Suit In ITC

Law360, New York (November 16, 2009, 3:09 PM EST) -- Acoustic component maker Knowles Electronics LLC has accused semiconductor company Analog Devices Inc. of importing microphones used in Apple Inc.'s iPod Nano that infringe two Knowles patents, in the latest legal skirmish between the companies.

In a complaint filed Thursday with the U.S. International Trade Commission, Knowles seeks to block importation of the allegedly infringing microphones, which the suit maintains are also used in laptops, PDAs, cell phones and other devices.
