Real Estate Co. Alleges Rivals Conspired Against It

Law360, New York (November 16, 2009, 3:47 PM EST) -- A defunct Nebraska real estate company has sued its competitors in federal court, alleging they attempted to illegally control broker commission rates in the region, eventually forcing the company out of business.

In a complaint filed Friday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Nebraska, Progressive Buyers & Sellers, which did business as an Assist2Sell franchise, and manager Julie Carper accused a slew of defendants of claims including tortious interference, defamation and violations of the Sherman Act.
