IBM General Counsel Jumps Ship To Apple

Law360, New York (November 13, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- Less than a year after being named general counsel of International Business Machines Corp., Donald J. Rosenberg has jumped ship to rival tech giant Apple Computer Inc., marking the end of a six-month vacancy created by the former general counsel’s departure in the wake of a probe into the company’s stock option grants.

Rosenberg, formerly IBM’s senior vice president and general counsel, will join Apple as its senior vice president and general counsel, reporting to Apple CEO Steve Jobs, the company said on Monday.
