Warner Chilcott Calls Truce Over Birth Control Drug

Law360, New York (November 14, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- Under fire on multiple fronts, Warner Chilcott has withdrawn its patent infringement suit against German pharmaceutical company Schering AG, agreeing to settle the dispute over the oral contraceptive Yaz.

Warner Chilcott announced the deal on Tuesday, revealing that Schering had decided to pay the pharmaceutical giant an undisclosed amount in order to put the infringement claims to rest.

“The terms of the agreement are confidential and subject to clearance by the Federal Trade Commission,” the company stated.
