Boeing Sued By London Plane Crash Victims

Law360, New York (November 19, 2009, 3:48 PM EST) -- A group of passengers who say they were injured when a British Airways flight crashed outside of London has filed suit against The Boeing Co., claiming the manufacturer's aircraft had a defect that caused both of the plane's engines to fail.

Paul Stafford and ten other passengers lodged a complaint in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois on Wednesday, alleging that the Boeing craft lacked a system to prevent ice from building up across the plane, preventing fuel from flowing into the engines.
