Werner Gets Extension To File Chapter 11 Plan

Law360, New York (November 14, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- Giving the company a boost in its bankruptcy proceedings, a bankruptcy court on Monday granted ladder maker Werner Co.’s request for extra time to come up with a plan to help it climb out of Chapter 11.

Judge Kevin Carey of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware granted Werner an extension for exclusive control over its bankruptcy case through to Jan. 19, 2007.

The company will now have until March 20 to gain creditor support for its Chapter 11 reorganization plan.
