Kinder Morgan Caused Ethanol Plant Explosion: Suit

Law360, New York (November 20, 2009, 4:34 PM EST) -- Following an explosion at its Lexington, Neb., ethanol plant, Cornhusker Energy Lexington LLC and an insurer have sued Kinder Morgan Interstate Gas Transmission LLC in effort to secure $1.8 million in property damage and business interruption losses stemming from the accident.

On Thursday, Cornhusker and National Union Fire Insurance Co. of Pittsburgh, Pa. sued Kinder Morgan for negligence and asked a federal judge in the U.S. District Court for the District of Nebraska to award them the damages.
