Fed. Circ. Chief Judge To Step Down, Continue Advocacy

Law360, New York (November 23, 2009, 7:11 PM EST) -- Though he announced last week he would retire, Chief Judge Paul R. Michel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit says he will continue advocating for a federal judiciary he believes is underfunded and undersupported.

“My overall concern is that the judiciary is not well enough supported by Congress or the executive branch, and this is true from year to year and administration to administration,” Chief Judge Michel said in an interview Monday with Law360.
