First-Day Motions OK'd In Majestic Star Ch. 11

Law360, New York (November 25, 2009, 2:59 PM EST) -- A federal judge has approved the first-day motions in the bankruptcy case of Majestic Star Casino LLC, allowing the casino operator to continue to issue and honor chips, tokens and vouchers, pay its employees and fulfill other financial obligations.

Judge Kevin Gross of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware approved the first-day motions this week after two separate hearings, a move the company said would let its hotels and casinos operate as usual without interruption.
