Rice Co. Appeals Toss Of $13M Iraq Contract Spat

Law360, New York (November 25, 2009, 6:24 PM EST) -- Agricultural products trader The Rice Corp. has said it will appeal a judge's decision dismissing its lawsuit against Iraq after the war-torn nation rejected a shipment of rice in 2005 that allegedly breached a contract worth at least $13 million and left a cargo vessel sitting in the Persian Gulf for three months.
