Enron Accountant Sentenced To 66 Months In Jail

Law360, New York (November 15, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- Former Enron chief accounting officer Richard Causey was sentenced on Wednesday to 66 months in prison for his role in the accounting fraud that led to the company’s demise.

Under the terms of the deal. Causey will also forfeit $1.25 million.

Causey could have faced more than 20 years in jail if convicted, but managed to cut his jail time under a plea bargain with prosecutors.
