Bratz Maker Pleads For Corporate Life Before 9th Circ.

Law360, New York (December 9, 2009, 7:07 PM EST) -- Facing what it calls the “corporate equivalent of a death sentence,” Bratz-doll maker MGA Entertainment Inc. pleaded with federal appeals judges for clemency Wednesday in oral arguments in its epic copyright battle with toy giant Mattel Inc.

MGA attorney E. Joshua Rosenkranz told judges on during the hearing of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit that time was running out, and asked them to stay enforcement of a ruling that might spell the end of the popular line of dolls.
