Seyfarth Shaw Partner Sues Firm Over Demotion

Law360, New York (December 1, 2009, 7:05 PM EST) -- A demoted Seyfarth Shaw LLP partner has sued the firm for allegedly forcing him from an equity partnership position, claiming that executives used the attorney's purportedly poor handling of a case involving Tae Bo creator Billy Blanks as an excuse to de-equitize.

Seyfarth partner William H. Lancaster, who is still employed at the firm, filed suit against the firm and several members of its executive committee on Nov. 25 in the Superior Court of the State of California for the County of Los Angeles.
