Court Keeps Citgo Franchise Case in Okla.

Law360, New York (December 1, 2009, 3:57 PM EST) -- A federal judge has denied Home Service Oil Co.'s motion to dismiss a suit brought by Citgo Petroleum Corp. in Oklahoma for breaching provisions of a franchise contract related to liability.

Chief Judge Claire V. Eagan of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma ruled Monday that the court did have jurisdiction in the matter and that Oklahoma was a proper venue for the case.
