InterDigital Appeals ITC Ruling In Nokia Patent Case

Law360, New York (December 2, 2009, 12:34 PM EST) -- InterDigital Communications LLC has appealed the U.S. International Trade Commission's determination that Nokia Corp.'s 3G wireless handsets do not infringe InterDigital's patents.

InterDigital filed its appeal with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit on Monday. It names the ITC, which ruled in Nokia's favor on Oct. 16, as the appellee.

The ITC terminated the investigation when it affirmed an August determination by Administrative Law Judge Paul J. Luckern, who held that four InterDigital patents were valid and enforceable but that Nokia had not...
