Judge Rips Fosamax MDL Lawyers' Spat Over Clients

Law360, New York (December 2, 2009, 3:24 PM EST) -- A federal judge has ripped into two lawyers whose “petty" squabble over a dissolved law firm bogged down a dozen active bisphosphonate product liability actions against Merck & Co Inc. and Procter & Gamble Pharmaceuticals Inc.

Judge John F. Keenan's order, issued Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, warned attorney Russel H. Beattie, formerly of Beattie & Osborn LLP, to stop dragging the fight into crucial product liability multidistrict litigation.
