Jack's Abby Arbitration May Not Hurt Wholesaler, Judge Says

By Brian Dowling (April 6, 2021, 5:39 PM EDT) -- A Massachusetts state judge said Tuesday she has "serious misgivings" about a Bay State liquor wholesaler's claim it will be irreparably harmed unless the court halts an arbitration sought by Jack's Abby Brewing LLC as part of the beer brand's efforts to break up with the distributor.

Suffolk Superior Court Justice Karen Green offered her first impression of the issue, suggesting she could deny Atlantic Importing Co. Inc.'s request for an injunction to block arbitration that could lead to it losing the high-profile Massachusetts beer brand.
