Pfizer Hardens Stance Over Chinese Viagra

Law360, New York (November 17, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- Pfizer Inc., fresh off a win that validated its Viagra patent in China, has reportedly used its newfound capital to sue a Chinese pharmaceutical company for infringing its patent on the erectile dysfunction drug.

The suit, which was filed against Guangzhou Welman, was heard Wednesday by a Beijing court, though no decision has yet been reached, the state media reported.
