Biden Taps Latham Partner To Serve As Interior's No. 2

Law360 (April 14, 2021, 5:10 PM EDT) -- President Joe Biden on Wednesday said he would nominate a Latham & Watkins LLP energy and environmental partner and Obama-era U.S. Department of the Interior veteran to serve as the agency's deputy secretary.

Tommy Beaudreau, who currently co-chairs Latham's project siting and approvals practice, served as director of the DOI's Bureau of Ocean Energy Management from 2011 to 2014. He also served as acting assistant secretary for land and minerals management and wrapped up his time at the DOI serving as chief of staff to former Interior Secretary Sally Jewell.
