2nd Circ. Tosses DLA Piper Atty's Race Bias Suit

Law360, New York (December 4, 2009, 6:33 PM EST) -- A federal appeals court has thrown out the case of a former DLA Piper attorney who sued the firm and 11 co-workers for race discrimination and retaliation, finding that a lower court properly ruled in favor of the firm.

In a one-page summary order, a three-judge panel in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit affirmed the district court ruling dismissing Charlene Morisseau's suit, although they provided little explanation for their decision.
