Law360, New York (December 8, 2009, 3:55 PM EST) -- On Nov. 19, 2009, the U.S. Department of Defense published a final rule regarding whistleblower protections for federal contractors’ employees who disclose to government officials information concerning waste or mismanagement, dangers to public health or safety, or violations of law relating to a DoD contract.
In January 2009, the DoD had issued an interim rule designed to address the whistleblower-protection provisions contained in the fiscal year 2008 and 2009 versions of the National Defense Authorization Act (10 U.S.C. § 2409) (NDAA).
