FTC Widens Intel Probe To Nvidia Dispute: Report

Law360, New York (December 7, 2009, 8:14 PM EST) -- The Federal Trade Commission has reportedly expanded its ongoing antitrust investigation into Intel's business practices in the wake of the firm's $1.25 billion settlement with rival Advanced Micro Devices Inc., widening its focus to take in the computer processor giant's patent licensing dispute with Nvidia Corp.

The investigation, which was first made public in June 2008, now encompasses Intel's pending lawsuit against the graphics processor maker in Delaware state court over a 2004 licensing agreement to provide chipsets to Intel, the San Jose Mercury News reported...
