US, Turkey Adopt Framework To Promote Trade

Law360, New York (December 8, 2009, 3:10 PM EST) -- The U.S. and Turkey have agreed on a new process for engaging one another on economic and trade issues in order to lower trade barriers between the countries, the U.S. Trade Representative and Department of Commerce announced.

The so-called Framework for Strategic Economic and Commercial Cooperation was unveiled Monday at a joint press conference by U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk, Commerce Secretary Gary Locke and Turkey's Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan.
