JML Seeks To Dismiss Madoff-Related Investor Suit

Law360, New York (December 8, 2009, 3:47 PM EST) -- JML Portfolio Management Ltd. has moved to toss a proposed class action seeking to hold the Switzerland-based investment manager liable for losses investors sustained in a fund connected to Bernard L. Madoff.

JML said the case should never have been brought in a U.S. court and that the plaintiffs had failed to state a claim, according to a motion to dismiss filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
