Carbon Makers Sue DOC Over Chinese Import Duties

Law360, New York (December 10, 2009, 2:46 PM EST) -- Two domestic producers of activated carbon have challenged the U.S. Department of Commerce's findings in an administrative review of anti-dumping duties levied on steam-activated carbon imported from China.

Calgon Carbon Corp. and Norit Americas Inc. lodged a complaint in the U.S. Court of International Trade on Wednesday, claiming the margin rates Commerce assigned as part of its first review of the duties rest on shaky legal and factual grounds.
