Yahoo Must Pay Post-Verdict Royalties In Patent Case

Law360, New York (December 11, 2009, 4:37 PM EST) -- While Yahoo Inc. appeals a $6.6 million jury verdict against it, the lower court judge in the case has ordered the Web company to pay Creative Internet Advertising Corp. an ongoing royalty of 23 percent on revenues Yahoo derives from a messaging program found by a jury to infringe a CIAC patent.
