UK Urged To Use G-7 Chair To Prioritize Finance Reforms

Law360, London (June 3, 2021, 4:44 PM BST) -- A finance body urged the British government on Thursday to use its upcoming presidency of the Group of Seven economies to focus on improving the banking sector in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak, in an attempt to boosting sustainability and embrace digital finance.

The International Regulatory Strategy Group, a British advisory body representing the financial services and professional services sectors, said in a report that the government should focus its G-7 presidency on four areas — COVID-19 recovery, green finance, the move to digital banking and global regulatory cooperation in the sector.
