Law360 (June 7, 2021, 6:34 PM EDT) -- Investment manager Fortress Investment Group LLC said Monday that it plans to buy a portfolio of real estate assets from Boca Raton, Florida-based Colony Capital Inc. through a $535 million deal guided by Paul Weiss.
Fortress will buy nondigital real estate assets from Colony Capital, the company said. In its own announcement Monday, Colony explained that the sale will help the company turn its attention more fully to its Digital Colony investment firm. The specialized firm invests in digital infrastructure including data centers, fiber networks and cell towers, according to its website.
