Kimmins Off Hook In $3M Rental Indemnification Suit

Law360, New York (December 15, 2009, 4:32 PM EST) -- Equipment renter United Rentals Inc. has lost its bid in a contract dispute with Kimmins Contracting Corp. to have Kimmins indemnify it for a $3.1 million jury verdict in favor of a worker who claimed he was injured while operating heavy equipment Kimmins had rented from United Rentals.

Judge Virginia Hernandez-Covington of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida on Monday granted Kimmins' motion for summary judgment and closed the case.
