Commerce Slashes Aisin's Ball Bearing Dumping Margin

Law360 (December 17, 2009, 5:19 PM EST) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce has lowered the anti-dumping margin for Japanese ball bearing reseller Aisin Seiki Co. Ltd. from 6.15 percent to 1.13 percent, announcing the redetermination after asking the U.S. Court of International Trade for a voluntary remand.

Commerce said it removed from its initial calculation distorted sales in which the dumping margin was higher than the production cost of the imported bearings but the ultimate finished product was sold below said production costs.
