Apple Settles Ex-Genius Bar Worker's OT Action

Law360, New York (December 17, 2009, 12:32 PM EST) -- A former Apple Inc. employee who launched a proposed collective action accusing the technology giant of denying its retail store repair technicians overtime pay has agreed to drop his claims, in light of a settlement.

Kenyon Zahner and Apple filed a stipulation of dismissal on Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, after reaching a “reasonable compromise” on the plaintiff's accusations that the company's employment practices violated the Fair Labor Standards Act.
