Industrial Gas Co. Expands With Linde Unit Merger

Law360, New York (November 22, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- An industrial and medical gas distributor has agreed to pay $495 million to acquire the U.S. bulk gas unit of Linde AG, which is required to divest the business to comply with antitrust conditions for its merger with BOC Group PLC.

Airgas Inc. said Wednesday it stands to take over eight of Linde’s air separation subsidiaries that sell oxygen, nitrogen, argon, helium and other gases as part of the deal.
