4 Firms Build $6B PE Deals Creating Label Making Giant

Law360 (July 2, 2021, 4:34 PM EDT) -- Clayton Dubilier & Rice said Friday it is separately buying Multi-Color Corp. and Fort Dearborn in order to then merge the product label makers into a single entity, in transactions that together are worth about $6 billion and were put together with help from four law firms.

The deals see CD&R pickling up MCC from Platinum Equity and Fort Dearborn from Advent International, according to a statement. Financial details were not disclosed, but people familiar with the matter confirmed to Law360 Friday that the total value of the transactions is about $6 billion.
