British Airways Wins Bid To Stop Holiday Strike

Law360, New York (December 17, 2009, 3:51 PM EST) -- A U.K. court has struck down an attempt by British Airways PLC cabin crew employees to strike during the holidays as the airline struggles to negotiate a collective bargaining agreement with Unite union employees.

BA said in a statement on its Web site Thursday that it was “delighted” the court had lifted the threat of a Christmas strike, “a decision that will be welcomed by hundreds of thousands of families in the U.K. and around the world.”
