Blood Bank Group Fights DNA Tester Over Trademarks

Law360, New York (December 17, 2009, 6:54 PM EST) -- The American Association of Blood Banks is hitting out at Boston Paternity LLC, alleging the DNA-testing company infringed the association's trademarks by improperly using them in advertising and to register misleading Web domain names.

AABB filed an amended complaint in its suit Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Hampshire, weeks after the case was transferred from the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Maryland, where it was originally filed in August 2008.
