McKool Smith Shrinks 2009 Bonus Pool By 25%

Law360, New York (December 18, 2009, 6:41 PM EST) -- McKool Smith PC has slashed its bonus pool by 25 percent this year, citing a need to remain competitive in a down market.

In a memo obtained by Law360, the 120-attorney firm said its 2009 bonuses had been "scaled down" from last year's levels, but that the payouts were still "more generous than the scales that have been announced by other major law firms" and was "in response to the current market for attorney bonuses."
