CIT Partially Affirms DOC Rule On Ball Bearings Duties

Law360, New York (December 22, 2009, 6:01 PM EST) -- The U.S. Court of International Trade has issued a 99-page opinion primarily upholding the U.S. Department of Commerce's final determination for anti-dumping duties on ball bearings from France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the United Kingdom despite objections from ball bearings manufacturers claiming the department should have used different methodology to calculate the duties.

The opinion, released Friday, addressed concerns from JTEKT Corp., NSK Corp., NTN Corp., Nachi Technology Inc. and others over the DOC's zeroing methodology for nondumped sales and its revised model-match methodology.
