1031 Tax Group, Dreier End Fight Over $3.4M Tab

Law360, New York (December 22, 2009, 4:48 PM EST) -- The Chapter 11 trustees and committees of unsecured creditors for Dreier LLP and the 1031 Tax Group LLC have resolved a dispute over $3.35 million that the infamous and now-defunct law firm charged the money management firm for its services.

Judge Martin Glenn of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York on Monday approved the deal, which calls for Dreier to seek legal fees from the money management firm only if 1031 repays 100 percent of its creditors who have allowed claims....
