Wyeth, Others Face New Hormone Replacement Suit

Law360 (November 27, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- A woman has filed a suit against Wyeth and other drug companies, claiming that her hormone replacement treatment caused her breast cancer.

In a lawsuit filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, Jeraldine Orsak accuses Wyeth Inc.; Wyeth Pharmaceuticals Inc.; Pfizer Inc., and Pharmacia & Upjohn Company of negligence, product liability, breach of warranty and fraud. Pharmacia & Upjohn is now part of Pfizer.

Orsak took Premarin, Prempro and Provera for seven years and developed breast cancer in 2003....
