Law360 (August 30, 2021, 4:33 PM EDT) · Listen to article -- The elite slate of attorneys chosen as Law360's 2021 MVPs have distinguished themselves from their peers by securing hard-earned successes in high-stakes litigation, complex global matters and record-breaking deals.

Competition for the MVP distinction was fierce this year, with editors reviewing nearly 900 submissions to determine the winners. Beginning this week, Law360 will profile the 2021 class of MVPs, which includes 182 attorneys from 77 firms spanning 37 practice areas.

After scoring the most MVP wins last year, Latham & Watkins LLP again topped the list, with nine attorneys selected as MVPs in 2021. Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP and Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom LLP tied for second with eight MVPs each, while third-place firms Kirkland & Ellis LLP and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP each had seven attorneys chosen as winners.
