Judge Certifies Class In Home Care Insurance Fight

Law360, New York (January 6, 2010, 3:14 PM EST) -- A federal judge has certified a class of plaintiffs in a suit alleging Washington National Insurance Corp. improperly rejected claims for home health care costs and failed to increase policy limits every year as promised.

In a Tuesday order Judge James I. Cohn of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida agreed to certify a class of plaintiffs and allow an additional plaintiff to join the case to ensure that the interests of the class are adequately represented.
