8th Circ. Ships 3 Prempro Suits Back To State Court

Law360, New York (January 6, 2010, 7:38 PM EST) -- In a blow to big-league drugmakers including Pfizer Inc., an appellate court has reversed a federal judge's refusal to remand to state court three product liability suits brought by more than 120 plaintiffs alleging hormone replacement therapy drugs caused breast cancer.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit on Wednesday reversed orders denying the plaintiffs' motions to send their cases back to state court, which were issued by the judge in charge of the multidistrict litigation over HRT drugs including Prempro.
