Fla. Spinal Patient Seeks Class Cert. In ADA Suit

Law360, New York (January 7, 2010, 3:36 PM EST) -- A Florida woman has asked a federal judge to certify a class in a lawsuit accusing two Florida health agencies of failing to provide the Medicaid-funded care for spinal injury patients required by the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The plaintiff in the case, Jacqueline Jones, filed a motion Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida asking the court to certify a class of an estimated 450 to 550 Florida residents.
