TMST Trustee Fed Up With Lawyers' Fee Structure

Law360, New York (January 8, 2010, 5:25 PM EST) -- The U.S. trustee overseeing the bankruptcy of real estate investment firm TMST Inc., formerly known as Thornburg Mortgage Inc., has asked the court to partly terminate a pay structure that lets attorneys and financial advisers submit fee requests every month.

The office of Region Four Trustee W. Clarkson McDow Jr. said in a motion Thursday that a slew of professionals, including attorneys from Quinn Emanuel Urquhart Oliver & Hedges LLP, Venable LLP and Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP, have been paid nearly $3.6 million since Nov....
